What bruises form when the universe suffers trauma?
Where does the boundary lie between body and cosmos?
Inside the Marrow of a Cosmic Bone: Rupture and Echo
I wanted to show the moment where cosmic and biological structure become indistinguishable—when a shockwave rends the very marrow of a silicate filament, exposing the anatomy of the universe as fragile, bruisable, and disturbingly familiar. Here, ruptured vesicles of golden molecular gas erupt into ferric pores, spilling crimson emission like a bruise blooming through bone, while dusty lattice struts recall both the brittle dryness of ancient skeletons and the impossible scale of cosmic architecture. This image investigates how trauma, whether cellular or cosmic, leaves marks—inviting both the comfort of recognition and a vertiginous unease at what is shared between star-stuff and self, between shock and structure.
