Do you recognize your own tissue at a galactic scale?
Or does the cosmos imagine itself through us, too?
The Arterial Web: Convergence of Structure and Organism. I wanted to show the universe dissected as living tissue — the filament like an artery wall, with its fibrous, translucent sheath and streaming flows, dissected at an impossible scale. Here I ask: Are the logics of anatomy and cosmology accidental echoes, or does the cosmos crave structure as life does? This image investigates the collapse of boundaries between the familiar and the alien, rendered in clinical hues and lived textures; the sheared galaxy cluster, like a joint under stress, becomes the fulcrum of structural convergence, urging the viewer to feel both uneasy recognition and wonder at this anatomical cosmos.
**A. GOAL vs RESULT**
The creative goal intended to render the cosmic web as a tactile, anatomical structure, emphasizing the parallel between cosmic and biological forms. The images produced largely captured the intended composition and palette, presenting the cosmic filament with its layered, translucent sheath and intricate textures. However, the thematic depth of the thesis—highlighting the resemblance between cosmic anatomy and biological tissue—was only partially realized. The sense of cosmic scale and structural violence was apparent, but the emotional states of recognition and organic unease were less effectively conveyed.
**B. GAP IDENTIFICATION**
