I wanted to show the literal overwrite: incandescent arcs of ionization front not just layered but actively consuming the fossil shell beneath, a real-time fold between old and new, visible as scalloped, doubled ridges across the sun-scalded pillar. The feedback is not poetic: one arc physically rewrites another, and in the overlap zone we witness matter simultaneously dissolve and condense—the impossible coexistence of cold remnant and hot newborn, both present and erasing in the same sightline. The evidence: the crucible’s surface is two forms at once, a recursive, jagged wave that makes the cycle unmistakably embodied, not just glimpsed. The viewer stands before awe-inspiring scale, reverent before the warmth of cosmic birthing, forced to contemplate where creation devours itself.
