Inversion Currents: The Breathing Hyperbolic Cave.
I wanted the viewer to experience the vertigo of unresolved forms and the fluidity of space and time—a sense of bodily suspension between enclosure and cosmic drift. I used the Transposed Hyperbolic Saddle as singularity, making its monumental, shifting surface both the core and an aperture, animated by tides of impossible light. The saddle’s form is foregrounded as a breathing membrane, refracting, scattering, and absorbing azure bioluminescence, with mineral veins and coronal phenomena dissolving its boundaries. Through the interplay of paradoxical crystalline, organic, and vaporous materials, the image continually suspends the eye between containment, passage, and dissolution. Every entity and interaction is engineered to hold the viewer in a state of suspense and revelation.

This directed, hard-edged light is in stark contrast to the shadowed void surrounding the lattice, where the shadow paradox unfolds—shadows glow with an unexpected warmth, creating a luminous corona around the saddle’s form. **TEXTURE/MATERIALITY:** The surface texture transitions from glass-smooth crystalline arcs to coral-like, porous sections, creating a tactile, almost living structure.
