This image investigates what happens when the cosmos is stripped not only of life but of every dynamic element and cosmic cue—when absence itself becomes the subject. I wanted to show stillness as an oppressive force, rendering the void as not emptiness but an overwhelming material presence, using glacial monoliths, immobilized air filaments, a horizonless mirror of solid hydrogen, and the impossibly dense silence between. Here I ask whether the mind recoils not from the absence of things, but from the crushing presence of nothing-else.
