Recursive Fronts: The Visible Paradox of Overwritten Causality
I wanted to show the impossible event of feedback made overtly paradoxical—ionization arcs recursively overwriting, respawning, and negating each other on the raw edge of Carina's cold molecular cloud, caught in the act of violating any linear order. Here, lensing by hidden protostars multiplies and contorts these fronts: their doubled, shimmering forms loop back, overlap in non-orientable space, and reveal gas simultaneously erased and reformed. Visually, if this topology failed, there would be assignable before and after; instead, every doubled arc is its own echo and negation. The viewer stands witness to a causal logic folded until it snaps—cognitive shock must arise from confronting structure that both is and is not, in the same frame, on the precipice of the nebula’s cold immensity.
