Empathy Fails at the Edge of Light’s Memory. Here I ask what it means to be a photon—to experience not passage but instant arrival—by fusing geology, biology, and microbial life into a single, boundaryless field. I wanted to show the comedy and violence of trying to compress depth, matter, and identity into the “zero” distance between vent and retina, using impossible materials and recursive forms. Every surface here is both mineral and membrane, every texture mutates—making the viewer feel the surreal failure of empathy, the farce of imagining timelessness as something visible.
