This image investigates the paradox of a photon's journey, where departure from a furnace-bright stellar granule and arrival at a silicate lens are impossibly simultaneous. I wanted to show, with atomic precision, the entanglement of cosmic and molecular scales—the star’s seething plasma overlaid and fused with the glass lattice, both perfectly detailed yet permanently indistinct. Here I ask what it means to try, and fail, to picture a perspective with no before or after: where all paths flicker as unresolved ghosts, and the act of witness is itself denied.
