I wanted to show a disturbance in perception—where an impossible sphere of null material sits motionless, defined only by the anti-light it absorbs, surrounded by subtle, nearly invisible ripples that betray the vertiginous immensity of emptiness. Here I ask: how can the absence of everything crush the mind more than a surfeit of stars, when absence itself begins to feel like a tangible force?
