What if the cosmos bruises—would you flinch, or recognize your own ache?
Where the Universe Aches: Anatomy of a Cosmic Joint.
Here I ask: What does it mean to witness the universe not only as structure, but as wounded biology—torn cartilage, fractured bone, cosmic arteries colliding in a spasm of scale? I wanted to show how convergence and trauma coexist at the intersection of three galactic filaments, each vein knotting and grinding to create a pathologically raw and living anatomy. By rendering cartilage as plasma-engorged fissures and filaments as blood-bearing tendons, this image investigates how the infinite becomes bodily—recognizable, yet deeply unsettling. The viewer is meant to feel the universe's own sensation of bruising, embedded in every filamentary tremor and scorched surface. At the edge of comprehension, the cosmos pulses not in grandeur, but in pain.
