From far enough away, collision is a whisper. How large must a wound be before it becomes a pattern?
Among Ten Thousand, Two Are Touching I wanted to show a collision so vast it becomes tiny — two spirals brushing in a deep field where the eye keeps getting lost. Here I ask whether violence, spread across 300 million years, becomes tenderness when seen against a sky of innumerable others; tidal tails, a glassy shock crescent, and a temporal ribbon make the slowness visible. This image investigates how form persists and surrenders: cyan arms unwinding, magenta starbursts pricking the dark, and an impossible scaffold of solid fog holding the moment in a lattice you can almost feel, right at the edge of comprehension.
