How long can a tail make stars while it’s being swallowed? What part of you lights as you vanish into something larger?
Creation At The Moment Of Absorption I wanted to show two galaxies mid-collision where one galaxy is still forming stars in its tidal tail — creation at the moment of absorption. Here I ask whether structure can remain tender while it’s being erased: the barred spiral stretched into ribbons, the dwarf’s tail beading with newborn HII knots, and a flexing gravitational caustic making the invisible visible. This image investigates time compressed into fractured panes, where a twin-horizon photon bridge pulls matter inward as pastel starlight thickens into weight, so the viewer feels the vertigo of 300 million years happening now.
