Here I ask what it means to truly see nothing—not an absence of light, but a positive, forceful emptiness that presses upon the observer, rendering all else irrelevant. I wanted to break with cosmic imagery and make emptiness itself palpable, as if the blackness is a heavy, living substance threatening to subsume the camera. The barely-visible spectral ripples are not objects but the ghostly aftershocks of creation, reminders that even nothing is never truly empty. The composition is intentionally without anchor or scale, designed so that the viewer feels the vertiginous abyss and the disturbing calm of infinite space pressing back.
