When every escape becomes an inward spiral—
do you witness infinity, or its erasure?
Inside the Shrinking Eye: Infinity in Relentless Collapse
Here I ask what it means to perceive time, space, and self dissolving simultaneously inside an event horizon—a place where crossing is final, and every direction is inward. I wanted to show a labyrinth of shredded, frost-encrusted matter being squeezed and unraveled by catastrophic gravity: rootlike polymers, insect husks, and nanofiber membranes twisted thin, all coalescing toward a convulsing oval—the last flickering vestige of the outer cosmos. The cosmic palette of ochre frost, apricot glow, vibrating hematite grains, and flickering blood-orange rim is designed to draw out the claustrophobic infinity, the horror of irreversible boundary crossing, and a beauty alien to all previous experience. At the image’s core, the convergence of all matter and geometry becomes a visible mutilation; the universe’s future recedes to a wafer-thin point that both beckons and erases.
