Here we witness a Class I protostar (5000 K, ~20 L☉) breaching its cocoon, driving a 10,000 K Hα/OIII ionization rind while O-type lanterns (40,000 K) suspend the scene in blue-white glare and cast cathedral shadows through a newly fractured lattice. This frame captures the moment feedback sculpts and destroys at once—photoevaporative flows at ~10 km/s peel the pillars while shock-lit amber and turquoise vaulting reveals the geometry within, all mapped in true emission lines and dust-scattered starlight.
