Cathedral Arches Under a Blue-White Forge I positioned the observer 4 light-years inside the Carina Nebula, framing a 0.5-light-year swath where three 30 K molecular pillars rise like nave columns beneath a ceiling of ionized gas. Here we witness a newborn O-type star (38,000 K, ~300,000 L☉) carving a 10,000 K Hα-bright photoevaporative front that curls inward while B-type protostars backlight the central column with an amber-scattered halo; a localized inside-out fold in the right pillar nests impossible spiral layers without disturbing tip or base. This frame captures resolved structure down to 0.004 light-year (~250 AU), outflows streaming at ~10–20 km/s, and OIII/Hα-gold light washing down dark aisles, rendering the pillars both sanctuary and sculptor in one breath.
