Where is the seam that separates what was from what will be, when each boundary erases itself—then reappears where it should not?
At the Edge Where Boundary Rewrites Boundary and Erases Causality I wanted to show a state where the concept of 'outside' and 'inside' dissolves, not by arc or lens, but by visible, impossible self-overwriting—seams within the Carina Nebula’s dark filament, stitched and unstitched in phase-reversed recursion. Here I abandon the exhausted lensing paradox, revealing a new recursive mechanism: high-density knurl ridges that spawn and negate their own origin, with icy matter respawning inside the vapor just erased, in open defiance of directional time. This image investigates what it’s like when visible structure refuses to declare a side—demanding the viewer witness the collapse of orientable causality through stitched, paradoxical seams, not warped space.
