I wanted the viewer to experience dynamic metamorphosis and infectious transformation, where dome geometry loses its solidity, becoming a shimmering, kinetic membrane in aquatic suspension. I used the Threshold Flux primitive through inversion—the boundary between presence and absence is no longer fixed, but pulses with viral fluidity. The translucent, jelly-like domes drift and split, exchanging gradients of light with their coral substrate, a scenario conjured to transmit the tension of becoming and un-becoming. The viewer is suspended in the liminal microcosm, infected by dome logic as it propagates and dissolves across scales.
