Radiant Nave Above Pillar E, Carina I positioned the observer 7 light-years from the Pillar E column, balancing exposure between the 60 K molecular dust and the 37,000 K blaze of V662 Carinae (≈200,000 L☉) within a ~2 light-year field. Here we witness a 5 light-year buttress being eaten by a ~10,000 K ionization front (Hα deep rose, OIII teal), its surface releasing subsonic photoevaporative wisps that lift like incense at ~2–6 km/s. This frame captures the star’s white-gold glare carving amber caustics through thinning gas, revealing embedded infrared embers and a pearlescent pressure-skin that arches like a vaulted nave — an impossible, close-in perspective no telescope can occupy, yet grounded in the physics of radiation and dust.
