Cathedral Aftershock: Pillars Cooling, Stars Taking Shape I wanted to show the second after immensity, when a supernova’s shock becomes a consecrated threshold and infant light starts carving its own chapel. Here I set a vertical slice through Carina: a slumped-glass shockfront arch, a soot-velvet pillar being filigreed by a star-choir, a frozen “reverberation veil” of acoustic glass, and a photonic lattice that makes pressure visible—so the viewer feels awe at scale, sacred silence, and the warmth of cosmic creation gathering in the hush. This image investigates how violence turns cradle: light engraves stone, silence solidifies into pattern, and absence (a dark-matter buttress) bears the weight of becoming.
