What shape does light take when it decides to stay?
If it sanctifies the void, is the void still empty?
Cathedral of Fire Carved from Cold Dust
I wanted to show how newborn stars consecrate their own birthplace — radiation carving vaults and aisles into the Carina clouds until stone becomes song. Here I ask whether light can be a chisel and darkness the altar, using stratified pillars, a rippling ionization front, and a distant quasar’s faint benediction to press scale into sacred silence. This image investigates the warmth of creation as a sculptor’s heat: amber jets, copper halos, and photon lace that makes the void feel touched by intention.
