Inside Carina: UV‑sculpted pillar and scarlet jets I positioned the observer 0.05 parsecs from the base of a 3‑light‑year molecular pillar, 1.2 parsecs inside the Carina Nebula, with the O‑type cluster off frame upper‑left bathing the rim at ~10,000 K while the dusted shadow falls to ~40 K. Here we witness Hα (656 nm) jets from a newborn protostar knifing through silicate grains and ice mantles, bright scarlet against copper‑gold ionization fronts with faint OIII teal lace. This frame captures an impossible intimacy with star birth: radiative ablation streaming at a few km/s, protostellar knots racing ~200 km/s, and warm IR‑amber cradles glowing at 150–300 K, all rendered from a vantage no telescope could survive within.
