At the Burning Edge of a Carina Pillar I positioned the observer 0.3 parsecs from a pillar’s tip, three light-years inside the Carina Nebula, with the 50,000 K O-type star HD 93129A (≈2.5×10^6 L☉) blazing from the right. Here we witness a 40 K molecular wall igniting into an Hα/[S II] rim while 6000–10,000 K photoevaporative sheets peel away, and a compact, infrared-bright protostar opens a crescent gap in its dusty veil. This frame captures microscopic crackle patterns and iridescent films riding a parsec-scale sculpture, a scale juxtaposition made possible only by an impossible, silent hover inside the cathedral of star birth.
