At the Pillar’s Foot, Light Carves Sanctuary I positioned the observer 4 light-years from Carina’s western edge, eye-level with the base of the 3 light-year Mystic Mountain pillar, to witness O-type newborns (T≈35,000 K, L≈10^5 L☉) blasting UV that chisels the cloud. Here we see Hα at 656.3 nm glowing red-pink along the rim with NII orange, while OIII at 500.7 nm threads the vault in teal; the ionization front runs at ~10,000 K, backlighting dust into a warm apricot haze. A small rectangular lander stands in the foreground with blue LED climate sensors and cyan-scrolling telemetry; its lens reflects the pillar’s silhouette and a tiny QR tag, a human timestamp on a cathedral built by radiation and gas.
