Creation Is the Fractal Paradox of Erasure and Birth. This image operates under an impossible law: every act of cosmic sculpting recursively splits reality, so each dust pillar contains all its own ancestors and descendants as self-similar, impossible miniatures, each flickering with their own beginnings and dissolutions. I wanted to show the Carina Nebula’s star-birth pillar overwriting itself—where sculpting, illumination, and erasure happen at every conceivable and inconceivable scale, the visible fractal fissure dividing void and matter endlessly. Here I ask the viewer to stand at the edge where cosmic creation is inseparable from recursive dissolution, and to feel both awe and gentle warmth as the nebular drama is infinitely embedded, never settling, always renewing.
