I positioned the observer 3 light‑years above Carina’s central cavity to witness a 6‑light‑year column of 20 K molecular hydrogen being skinned by a newborn O‑type star (38,000 K; ~800,000 L☉) embedded halfway up its sunward face. Here we witness the Hα evaporative rind (656.3 nm mapped deep crimson) and a concave OIII bow shock (500.7 nm mapped teal) advancing at a few km/s, peeling dusty gas into rilled filaments while 0.2‑light‑year Bok globules cast cometary shadows; the long exposure captures lower regions blooming in Hα as the OIII arc climbs, hollowing cavities moment by moment.
