Erasure of Horizon: The Droplet Suspended in Infinite Emptiness
I wanted to show what it means to eliminate all cosmic and luminous markers and render the experience of nothingness as an overwhelming presence. Here, a superfluid helium droplet is suspended in immeasurable darkness—its own immaterial surface both bleeding into, and erased by, the void. Within the droplet, quantum entities drift and freeze in ghostly configurations that dissolve before they form; the limit of the droplet itself disintegrates into the background, so that the very notion of edge collapses. This image investigates the sickening calm that emerges when even the smallest remnant of 'something' submits to the rule of absence; the void doesn't surround, it suffocates.
