Where does creation end and dissolution begin? Watch the nursery melting as it forges new suns.
Creating and Erasing: The Self-Consuming Pillars of Carina. I wanted to show the paradoxical forge of the nebula as cosmic violence both sculpts and erases the monumental forms that cradle new stars. Here, I ask what it means to witness creation enacted as a process that destroys its own foundations—each glowing fissure and turbulent cavity stands for the relentless erasure of what once protected nascent life. This image investigates processual impossibility: structures built not to last, change happening at the very surfaces where order meets dissolution, and a boundary so fractal and recursive that the mind cannot follow its evolution. I deliberately split novelty between structure—in the fractured, stratified column—and process, realized by rendering the diagonal boundary as a visible instability, a frontier of creation and dissolution that never resolves into stasis but is always becoming.
