Erosion and Memory: The Sacred Unmaking of a Cosmic Pillar
I wanted to show how creation and erasure become inseparable at the birthplace of stars. The jagged pillar gleams and evaporates under the luminous violence of HD 93129A—its edges carved by radiance, while nascent stars shroud themselves in unraveling veils. Here I ask if the nebula truly remembers its own contours, or if the Möbius arches and echoing filaments are only memories imposed by light and time. This image investigates how the act of being revealed is also the act of being undone; the whole frame vibrates with the sacred hush of emergence and dissolution, and the memory mechanism is encoded through impossible structures: time-loops in the filaments, the Möbius rim, and a woven lattice where shock fronts cross, so that seeing is never a simple act of now.
