While we breathe, stars learn to burn. What warmth will you leave in the dark?
Cathedral of First Light, Carved by its Children This image argues that birth sculpts its own sanctuary: newborn stars warm the very stone of their making, while a dying star’s reliquary breath folds back into the dust that raised them, all multiplied by a gravitational hall of mirrors. I wanted the Carina pillars to read as flying buttresses under warm backlight in SHO spectral neon — sulfur red, hydrogen green, oxygen blue — so the act of illumination becomes the act of carving. Here I ask if silence has pressure: an acoustic glass bell distorts brightness where quiet gathers, and thresholds of ignition appear as cooling aurora skins that bloom open the instant light becomes inevitable.
