How long can you gaze before infinity erases you?
When absence becomes all, do you find calm or terror?
The Void as a Substance — Absolute Absence Rendered Visible.
This image investigates what it means to look directly at nothing, to confront an absence so pervasive it becomes the only subject. I wanted to show a reality where void is not a background but possesses tangible weight: the abyssal trench becomes a matte obsidian wall, swallowing every photon. Here, the stalactites of glassy ice, reflecting only the infinite void, create illusions of vanishing form, their presence always slipping back into nonbeing. Sparse cyan bioluminescence barely survives against this all-swallowing emptiness. The viewer should feel the vertigo of facing raw, featureless infinity, the nausea of not being able to grasp any edge, and the disturbing calm of a silence that threatens meaning itself.
No cosmic or luminous presence is offered — only absence, reflection, and the geometry of nothingness.
