How vast must a cradle be to warm a sun? How quiet must space become to hear it begin?
Where Dust Learns Light in a Silent Cathedral I wanted to show the Carina Nebula not as scenery but as a rite: fluted dust-pillars as nave columns, infant stars as swinging censers, and heat itself unrolled as luminous vellum that wraps and remakes its parent clouds. Here I ask how creation can be both radiant and hushed—shock-front buttresses stride the aisles while a hush-dome stills the turbulence so the first warmth can take shape. This image investigates scale as devotion and transformation as architecture: emission-line neons carve tracery edges, deep-field oculi become stained-glass windows of distant galaxies, and the viewer stands in the threshold between ablating matter and the quiet that permits a star to begin.
