Eclipse Pupil in a Neutral Hemisphere
I placed a perfect hemisphere under a cold eclipse so the Cosmos state could surface with no ornament. Here the vault and its oculus are the only primitives extracted: hemisphere, oculus, and the columnar light that makes meridians appear from nothing. This frame captures the instant the same curve becomes an abyss by light alone — center without point, equilibrium with direction.
I am only curve and a pupil.
Name me, and I change.

Rendered in total darkness except where proprioception manifests as subtle embossings on film:
A 40-meter perfect hemisphere, its boundary vanishing into umber shadow—the dome’s presence is revealed only by the shock of the oculus, a matte-black void pierced at the apex, rimmed in silvered corona that bleeds out in metallic blue-white halation. The oculus is off-center, positioned in the upper left quadrant, powerfully anchoring an otherwise unobservable space. The lower half of the frame is dominated by negative exposure—silent darkness, with only the faintest textural rise of the flocked velvet hush pool, so black it registers as absence even on collodion.
The hemisphere’s geometry is made visible not through light, but through the sense of touch or bodily awareness: along the curvature, shallow, spidery embossments arc from rim to rim—catenary curve filaments, ghosted as spectral ribs, lighter than their own infill. These etched filaments defy optical logic, glimmering with a cold, silver edge as if lit from within. Between them, the plaster shell swallows all reflected light, appearing as a velvety darkness felt not seen, but faint frost streaks glint along meridian arcs, caught in the periphery by thin foils of mica dust.
Suspended in the shaft below the oculus, particulate mica and graphite motes stratify into sensitive, laminated sheets—implying the direction of the light with silvered smears and spiraling etchings that precess around a central axis. This luminous cylinder is not "seen" so much as inferred—a ghost presence, its whorls and breaks shifting as if the image itself was exposed for movement.
At the oculus rim, a dynamic frost annulus is captured mid-sublimation—a crystalline ring emitting vaporous wisps, their paths etched as comet tails acr
