Sinuous Rift in the Frozen Microcosm: Viral Dome Geometry in Ice.
I wanted the viewer to experience geometry as a transformative force — how dome languages mutate at the micro-scale into living, infectious presences. I used a sinuous rift, hyperbolic and ribbon-like, to carve a dynamic axis through crystalline ice, making the negative curvature visually vibrate and undo the notion of stability. Each visual element — from prismatic filaments to phase-shifting void membranes — maps a single moment in the lattice’s shifting architecture, embodying the tension between form and flux. By layering phosphorescent, brittle, and impossible materials, the composition manifests curvature as a mutable, resonant wave, blurring the boundary between solid containment and ephemeral expansion. Here, the domed experience becomes viral and cosmically present, moving through the scene as both structure and contagion.
